At Sunstate Cement Ltd. quality assurance is a serious preoccupation. Our key quality assurance goal is to ensure Sunstate Cement Ltd. product is of a high quality that consistently meets client expectations.

Our Quality Assurance commitment is a two tier process:

Certified Quality Management System

Sunstate Cement Ltd. operates under a certified Quality Management System complying with the requirements of the AS/NZS ISO 9000 series. This formal accreditation provides internationally recognised assurance of product efficiency and commitment to excellence.

NATA Accredited Laboratory

Our certified Quality Management System is supported by a National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accredited laboratory facility. NATA accredited laboratories have been independently assessed for technical competence by best practice industry experts. Our laboratory can undertake testing of raw materials and manufactured product, as well as samples submitted by clients.

NATA accreditation is held for a range of cement and concrete tests including:

NATA Accredited Cement Testing

  • Specimen preparation and sampling
  • Consistency, setting time, soundness, fineness and fineness index
  • Autoclave expansion, drying shrinkage, sulphate resistance
  • Compressive strength
  • Density

NATA Accredited Mortar Testing

  • Specimen preparation and sampling

NATA Accredited Concrete Testing

  • Specimen preparation and curing
  • Preparation of concrete
  • Consistency – slump test
  • Air content of freshly mixed concrete
  • Mass/unit volume of freshly mixed concrete
  • Compression tests on moulded specimens
  • Mass/unit volume of hardened concrete

Sunstate Cement Ltd. can also undertake internally developed specific purpose testing. However, such additional tests may not be covered by an external accreditation authority.
