GP Cement
GP Cement is a general purpose cement suitable for most concrete applications. It is regarded as the mainstay of the building and construction industries. Other uses include mortars, grouts, renders and cement based products through to small DIY projects.
Sunstate manufacture GP Cement by grinding portland cement clinker and gypsum in combination with mineral additions.
GP Cement complies with Australian Standard 3972 – General purpose cement.
Slag Blend 60
Slag Blend 60 is a blended cement containing general purpose cement and ground granulated blast furnace slag. It is used for specialist concrete applications and provides improved resistance to sulphate and chloride attack. The extended setting time properties are ideal for road stabilisation applications where increased working time is required.
Sunstate manufacture Slag Blend 60 by grinding portland cement clinker and gypsum in combination with mineral additions and a nominal 60% granulated blast furnace slag.
Slag Blend 60 complies with Australian Standard 3972 – Blended cement.
Slag Blend 30
Slag Blend 30 is a blended cement containing general purpose cement and ground granulated blast furnace slag. It is an alternative to GP Cement and is suitable for most general concrete applications.
Sunstate manufacture Slag Blend 30 by grinding portland cement clinker and gypsum in combination with mineral additions and a nominal 30% granulated blast furnace slag.
Slag Blend 30 complies with Australian Standard 3972 – Blended cement.
Sunlite Cement
Sunlite is a special purpose off-white cement for applications where distinctive architectural and decorative finishes are desired. When used in combination with selected aggregates and oxides, Sunlite can produce a diverse range of finishes in concrete, mortar, render and precast elements.
Sunstate manufacture Sunlite by grinding a unique light-coloured portland cement clinker and gypsum in combination with mineral additions to achieve consistent colour performance.
Sunlite complies with Australian Standard 3972 – High early strength cement (HE).
Flyash Blend 25
Flyash Blend 25 (also known as Builders Cement in bag form) is a blended cement containing general purpose cement and flyash. It is an alternative to GP Cement and is suitable for most general concrete applications. Flyash Blend 25 has enhanced sulphate resistance and reduced alkali silica reaction properties compared to GP Cement.
Sunstate manufacture Flyash Blend 25 by grinding portland cement clinker and gypsum in combination with mineral additions and a nominal 25% flyash.
Flyash Blend 25 complies with Australian Standard 3972 – Blended cement.
SL Cement
SL Cement is a special purpose cement for use in applications where a lower drying shrinkage is required. SL Cement typically has reduced early age strength characteristics as compared to GP Cement.
Sunstate manufactures SL Cement by grinding portland cement clinker and gypsum to a lower fineness than general purpose and blended cements.
SL Cement complies with Australian Standard 3972 – Shrinkage limited cement (SL).
Fine Grade Ash
Temporarily unavailable – Fine Grade Ash is a supplementary cementitious material primarily used in the manufacture of concrete and cement based products. It is suitable for most conventional building and construction applications, often improving the workability of concrete and providing enhanced durability properties.
Sunstate manufacture Fine Grade Ash by grinding selected run-of-station ash to a ‘concrete grade’ fineness.
Fine Grade Ash complies with Australian Standard 3582.1 – Supplementary cementitious materials for use with portland and blended cement, Part 1: Fly Ash.
Milled Slag
Milled Slag is a supplementary cementitious material generally used in the manufacture of concrete. It can improve a number of concrete performance characteristics and enhance the durability properties of concrete in aggressive environments.
Sunstate manufacture Milled Slag by grinding selected granulated blast furnace slag and gypsum to a suitable fineness.
Milled slag complies with Australian Standard 3582.2 – Supplementary cementitious materials for use with portland and blended cement, Part 2: Slag.
