Rajeev joined Sunstate Cement as General Manager in 2014.
Having lived and worked in many regions of the world, Rajeev has extensive international cement experience including 16 years with Lafarge. His career with this world-leading provider of building products spanned several senior roles in technical, operations and business development, and culminating in his appointment as Operations Director in the UK.
Prior to his success at Lafarge, Rajeev spent several years working in West Australia as an Engineer in the chemical and mineral processing industries.
Holding a Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Australia, Rajeev qualified as an Engineer through the University of Calicut.
Rajeev seeks to lead by example and coach and inspire his team to greater performance; his passionate approach to the welfare and safety of his employees is only equalled by his vision for delivering excellence in customer service and creating shareholder value.
Since returning to Australia from the UK, Rajeev has been relishing the Queensland lifestyle and weather.
Brian commenced with Sunstate Cement as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary in 2011.
Bringing with him extensive financial experience from the mining services, construction and manufacturing sectors, Brian provides financial leadership in the business.
Brian is responsible for Sunstate's Accounting, Taxation, Internal Audit, Treasury, Information Technology Strategy, Corporate Governance and Statutory Management.
Holding a Bachelor of Commerce - Accounting degree, Brian is a CPA and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Michael joined Sunstate Cement in 2006 quickly moving into his current role of Sales and Marketing Manager. Michael's role sees him responsible for the sales, customer service and marketing efforts in pursuit of the company's financial objectives. He is also responsible for the strategies and business plans to expand Sunstate's contestable customer base and market share, and importantly, maintain existing business. Michael has broad experience in the cement industry having held General, Sales and Production Management positions in the construction materials industry in a career spanning over 25 years.
Michael has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Queensland.
Michael joined the team at Sunstate Cement in 2006. Michael's involvement across the business has been broad, and his current role sees him responsible for all activities concerned with the production, warehousing, and distribution of goods manufactured by Sunstate. In addition, Michael is also responsible for the planning and management of all activities involved in sourcing and procuring raw materials including in-bound logistics management and despatch functions.
Michael has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Science) and a Graduate Certificate in Professional Management and has 9 years' experience in the cement industry.
Cameron has the honour of being the longest serving employee at Sunstate Cement, commencing his employment in 1985 after several years in the construction industry.
Starting as a qualified Fitter and Turner, Cameron has carved out a distinguished career over his 30+ year tenure with the company.
As Maintenance Manager, Cameron oversees comprehensive preventative and breakdown maintenance and engineering programs, as well as the delivery of major capital works.
Under his leadership and direction, Cameron's team are dedicated to rolling out safe and effective maintenance programs that enhance the reliability of our plant, make it more productive and efficient, and extend its lifespan. With these goals in mind, the maintenance team are proud of their track record and the crucial role they play in meeting Sunstate's on-time delivery commitments to our customers.
On a personal level, Cameron has explored various parts of the globe including Antarctica, Canada, South America and the USA.
Bret joined Sunstate Cement in 2012 as the Technical Manager with 25 years' experience in the Cement and building products industry. The Technical Manager oversees process improvement initiatives, product development, product quality, process and product optimisation and research and development. The position is instrumental in developing quality and process goals for Sunstate Cement and providing advice regarding reporting frameworks, standards and guidelines to drive change. Bret is also responsible for product specifications, management of quality, and environmental systems, process control and, technical liaison with sales staff, key customers and industry bodies. Bret has a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) and a GradDipEd from Macquarie University.
